First Responder Healthcare Revolution
ERHC was founded in 2004, when Dr. Rob Hilvers – working in close proximity with emergency responders in the ER – was asked to provide physicals for the Boise Fire Department Dive Team.
This singular request led to the development of comprehensive, duty-based Annual Wellness Exams … and ignited a lifelong passion for advancing the well-being, performance, and longevity of emergency response professionals.
By 2010, Emergency Responders Health Center had grown to serve as the official medical provider for fire departments across southwestern Idaho, as well as select law enforcement agencies. In 2013, ERHC broke ground on its innovative Boise primary care clinic, custom-built with first responders in mind. Today, ERHC cares for members from more than 30 fire, law enforcement, and paramedic/EMT agencies across Idaho, through its flagship Medical Clinic, Wellness Center, and travel clinics serving departments across Idaho and in Valdez, Alaska.
Caring for body, mind and spirit, the ERHC practice model has steadily expanded, as well – from proactive cardiac and cancer screening, broad-spectrum family medicine, convenient urgent care, occupational medicine and workers’ compensation care, and physical therapy, to allied health services to include mental health therapy, massage therapy and acupuncture.
ERHC is now honored to expand our unique practice model through a second clinic serving Northeastern Washington/Northern Idaho, at the invitation of health-conscious local emergency response agencies.
